Cultural Landscape Day in Vooremaa & Kodavere parish, Estonia

The day began with the opening of the exhibition „Heritage lives!“ (Pärand elab). A major topic were Estonian folk songs of Kodavere origin by Edakai Simmermann. With her guidance, some songs were even sang together. After the presentation, Krista Karro told the audience about the origins of the area from an archaeological and linguistic point of view. The program ended with the presentation of the Kodavere dialect study book (uavits), which was compiled by Eevi Treial and Mari Niitra.
